Personal Statement

Hi, I’m Tessa Grotzinger and I fell in love with running in the 7th grade. Track and Cross Country have allowed me to show my competitive side. I strive to work hard, be looked up to, and find my fullest potential in not only running but always in academics.  And I hope to continue my love for running in college.  “Always Earned, Never Given”.  I have also been elected by my peers as Co-Captain for our 2018 Varsity Cross Country Team and am a member of Student Government, having been elected as the 11th grade Class Secretary, 12th grade Class Vice President and member of the National Honor Society my Junior & Senior Year.  I was a dual sport athlete in both my Freshman and Junior spring school year with track and softball.  During my Junior Year, I was part of the 4x4 and 4x8 relay team breaking the school record and participating in states for both in AAA.  I also earned the Offensive MVP award in softball and named to Large School Softball Allstar team for 2019.
