In college, I hope to run cross country and overall become a better athlete and a better person. During the 2018-2019 cross country and basketball season I was recovering from ACL surgery, but after working in physical therapy and going to a trainer, I was able to be cleared at six months to do track. Then during the summer of 2019 I partially tore the same ACL, which caused me to not be able to run cross country for the 2019-2020 season and made me miss a majority of my basketball season. After missing my sophomore and junior year of cross country, I'm hoping that there will be another season so I can finally participate in my favorite sport. I've been practicing for the cross country season during this time so I can be healthy and prepared. I think all of my injuries have impacted my way of thinking. I've become an extremely positive person and I'm thankful that I can run every day. I'm more determined than ever for next season. I'm confident I can finally get to states, which has been my goal since I started running cross country.
