I have been one of Western Canada’s top age class athletes in cross country skiing, junior triathlon, road racing, cross country running, and track and field, including long jump, relays, and every distance race. My Sophomore year, I was the Provincial Champion in the 1500m, 3000m, and cross country.
I intend to compete at the university level, represent my country internationally, and compete professionally. I currently have a 97 percent average in school (equal to a 4.0 GPA in the U.S.). I want to study Kinesiology for my undergrad then do my Masters in Nutrition to become a sports dietitian.
Running has been my favourite sport since 2018 when I had the honour of training with the Kenyans at Kipchoge Keino’s training camp . Their mindsets, outlook on life, and work ethic were intriguing.
I’m also inspired by my Grandma, Judy Warick, the world masters steeplechase champion and my dad, Jason Warick, who was on Canada’s national track team for the marathon, so it runs in the family (haha).
I put my 100% effort into everything I do. I started a vegan baking business in 2018 where half the profits go to the Food Bank, I completed my Grade 8 Royal Conservatory exam after taking piano for 11 years, and I’m a committed activist. I strive to make the world a better place by fundraising, baking for homeless shelters, volunteering, and educating myself on how to make a difference.
