My name is Ailish Ward and I am currently a junior at Ashley Hall in Charleston, South Carolina. I'm a class of 2023 graduate and I currently have a 3.90(unweighted)4.95 (weighted) GPA. Since 7th grade I have been a part of the all state cross country team. Last year I placed 3rd at the SCISA state championships and my team won the state championship. Last year I broke my school's 5ks record twice finishing in 18:54 and 18:51. My goal is to continue to lower my 5k time by 30 seconds this upcoming cross country season. Since our team does not have an indoor season, I trained for a half marathon and won, finishing in 1:22:31. This track season I was the runner up in the 3200 meter race even though I had only competed in two races prior to state meet. I am passionate about running longer distances and want to run the 6k and 10k (track) in college. I am very interested in running distance in college and am eager to improve. I would love to hear back from you and hear your thoughts on how I could improve to potentially fit your roster. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
