My name is Kyla Navarrete and I am a 100M and 300M hurdler. I enjoy running and am looking forward to doing so at the college level. I am aware that my times may have many coaches overlook me as a potential candidate for their school, however I believe I have quite a bit of potential yet to show. Personally, the 300M Hurdles race is my best race, though looking at my times many may argue with this. This is because based on the first 100 meters or so I am on pace to run around a 43-44 second race, before I slow down dramatically. I am confident that with a professional coaching staff I can increase my endurance and speed and achieve these times under 45 seconds. Along with this, getting my three-stepping down gives me confidence I will soon be able to run in the lower 15's for the 100M hurdles.
Academically, I am interested in pursuing a degree in something related to Nutrition, whether that is a nutrition degree itself or something of the related field. I am open to running anywhere as long as it is financially efficient. I have an older brother in college at the moment, so next year we will be stretching it trying to pay for two college educations at the same time. Therefore, I am looking for the overall lowest cost of attendance when choosing where to run for the next four years.
