I was a competitive gymnast for 8 years. Due to injuries, I broke my elbow two times in 8 months, I had to retire as a level 9. My high school track coach suggested pole vaulting at the initial track meeting January of my freshman year. I was freshman district champion,8'6".
As a sophomore I competed at the varsity level. I set a pr of 10'6" at the Hays Rebel Relays. I was district and area champion, which allowed me to qualify for the Texas region 4 track meet. I placed 5th at this meet.
I train 4-5 days a week at Lone Star Pole Vault Club with Coach Kris Allison. I am varsity cheerleader at Jack C Hays High School and a member of the National Honor Society.
I enjoy making the sport of track and field a positive environment, and would like to participate in this sport for as long as possible.
