Personal Statement
Being on the number 2 team in Texas UIL State Cross Country Championship was one of the greatest things when I was a sophomore in high school. Although, I really feel like I prospered more as an athlete when my team and I were running and pushing each other in the off-season. My team has taught me the value of commitment, hard work, perseverance, and leadership whether it is in the classroom or in practice.
I am looking for a program that not only fits me athletically but academically as well. My coach always reminds us that we are student-athletes, but being a student comes before being an athlete. I not only have the talent but also the skills to make an immediate impact on your team.
