Hi, my name is Alaysha Rodriguez. I’m was born in houston but I have carribean roots. Both my parents from Honduras. I’ve been running all my life but been doing track for 3 years now And hurdling for only 2 years in counting. Im very dedicated and I Believe I can be the best at anything I put my mind too. Track is my passion and also my peace. Track has become a piece of me. Without the Track im incomplete. When I step on the track I’m relentless. When I show up to practice no matter how I’m feeling I’m ready to work because When it comes to executing in my races I believe it all starts at practice and I give it my all. Blood, sweat, tears, vomit, etc… because when it’s time to showcase my talents i like to show up and show out and to be better than I was before. My goal Is to be the best that I can be no matter what it takes... the world is going to know my name. I love working with the teammates they are like my brothers and sisters on the track. Especially my coaches because I love to learn new things and putting together puzzle pieces that’ll take me to the next level when trying to improve in my races.
Academically I know that education come first and I’ve learned that when It comes to wanting to make it to the next level in sports academics play a huge part in that so I’m working towards it and I’ve been making sure my grades are good before anything.
