Personal Statement
Being a runner and student-athlete, in general, has really allowed me to grow and develop my time-management and leadership skills. Being an older sister has always influenced me to provide a good role model for my younger brother, and being a student-athlete has instilled a strong sense of confidence and self-realization that was not present beforehand, and has allowed me to grow into a person I believe to be a good role model for him. Running has always helped me with school, giving me an outlet for improving my mindset, and thus allowed me to advance my academics, as I hope to do all the way to medical school.
