I was introduced to track and field my freshman year in high school as a way to stay in shape for volleyball but I quickly grew to love the sport. After my Sophomore year, I decided to hang up my volleyball career and focus solely on track. It was then during my junior season that I finally learned to three step the 100 meter hurdles and really feel comfortable running the race. My time has drastically improved this season and I feel that I will continue to progress during this year’s summer track season and offseason next year. My goals going into my Senior year is to drop another second off my 100mh times and rise to all the challenges my coach puts in front of me.
I am looking for a college that has a strong academic program and that is equally competitive in track and field. I would like to find a coach who focuses on individual growth and development as well as the team’s accomplishments. I feel that I would ultimately benefit your college with my hard work and determination in the class rooms and on the track.
