I have been successful in academics and athletics during my first 2 years of high school. However, due to the COVID pandemic and conflicting schedules, I have not been able to throw on the track team. This past summer (2021) I took matters into my own hands and returned to my first athletic love by competing in summer track. I am so happy that I did. With the help of my older brother, who was an NCAA Division I thrower. I have developed a plan to get prepared to be a college Thrower.
Year 1 - 2021: Learn the full spin for Discus and 1 full spin for Hammer. Goal accomplished and qualified for the TAAF State Summer Track Meet.
Year 2 - 2022: Learn to spin the Hammer 3 full turns and start getting some quality throws worth posting.
Year 3 - 2023: Graduate from High School top 2 in my class. Perfect the spin for Hammer/Weight. By the end of summer, my goal is to be ready to compete with college-level technic and distance.
I am the youngest of 7 kids. So my family has a good idea of how the college admission process works. I anticipate being able to qualify for good academic, activities and leadership scholarships and grants. I would truly love to be a member of a college track team as part of my college experience. Thank you.
