Personal Statement
My name is Jessie Wicker, and I am in the class of 2012 at John Paul II High School in Plano, TX.
I am 5'4 and a 4-year varsity track athlete. My main event is the Pole Vault where I was 3rd in State my junior year in TAPPS 5A. My PR is 10’6, which I achieved last spring. Since then I trained over the summer and have been working with a club team weekly this past semester; therefore, hope to PR in my first indoor meet in December 2011.
I have a 4.0 GPA and by the end of my senior year I will have taken 8 AP classes. I'm also Student Body President, and very active in many spheres of my high school and my community. I am looking for a college with strong academics and an active student body, but where I can pursue my love and dedication for Track.
