My name is Madyson Pence and I am currently a Junior at Quitman High School in Quitman, Tx. I am a multi sport athlete but I have a passion for running. I started running my Freshman year and over time have fallen in love with it. I have a strong desire to continue my running career at the next level.
In college I want to major in psychology and go on to get my doctorate to become a sports psychologist. Over the past year I have become very interested in the mental health side of athletes. I have experienced some of my own battles with mental health as an athlete, so I want to pursue sports psychology to help other athletes like myself.
Running wasn‘t something I loved doing at first but over time I have fallen in love with the process. My hard work and dedication has gotten me so far and I believe that it will continue to help me grow as a person and as a runner.
