Destinee Perez '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Destinee Perez,  I am a senior in high school. Throughout all my years in school,  running has always been my passion ,which I shared with my great grandfather who was an avid runner all the way up to his passing a few years back . Although I have faced a few hardships these past couple of years I have always showed up to practice ready and willing to give it my all day in and day out. I push myself daily, including weekends just to get the mileage in and make it a goal to be ready at all times. I am a four time regional qualifier and a two time state qualifier in cross country and a 3 time regional qualifier in track.  Although I run in a very hard region with very talented students I have never lost my drive to improve and shoot for the stars! Even though  running is my passion, I know that academics always comes before sports. I have maintained an A-B average throughout my high school years. My dream is to be able to run at collegiate level and make a huge impact on whatever team I get a chance to run on.
