Personal Statement

My name is Amelia Novak. I am a Long & Triple jumper. I am in the graduating class of 2024 at Champlain Valley Union HS from Vermont. I have been an athlete for the majority of my life, though I only joined track and field during my freshman year of high school. I started gymnastics at the age of 4 and continued to age 15. I have played club volleyball at the Elite level and I played on my high school varsity team last season. While I have integrated myself into many sports, I have felt the most connected with Track & Field. I value a strong and structured team environment. I am as dedicated to my academics as I am to my athletics. I take pride in my schoolwork and my interests in the Health Science field. I am hoping to connect with a school that will fit my personality and interests, as well as support my academic and athletic goals!

Activities-Leader of Ski and Snowboard Club at High School...CVUHS -Chess Club -CVUHS Class Council (Class of 2024) - Camp Counselor for Champlain Valley Union Track Camp (Run by the Town of Williston, VT) Coaching Ages K-8 - Counselor in Training for CVU Summer Camp to Teach Incoming Students About Life at CVUHS - Volunteer Snowboard Instructor (Run by Town of Williston) Coached Ages K-8 - For an 8th grade graduation project I ran a food drive associated with The Lions Club of Vermont.
