Hi, My name is Nadiyah Abdussalaam. I am a senior at Appomattox County High School in Appomattox, Virginia. I have been doing indoor and outdoor track and field for about 7 years now, with a total of 9 seasons. My 6th and 7th grade years I competed on the Appomattox County Middle School team. My 8th -11th grade years I have been competing on the Appomattox County High School Varsity team. My 11th grade year I won title of Triple jump State champion with a jump on 34 feet and 5.5 inches. I hope to continue to compete at the college level, and some day the olympic level. I would love to be competing on a Division I Team but I am open to a Division II team as well.
Before I started running I played softball for about 5 years. My softball training definitely taught me how to work hard and to stay focused no matter what. I believe softball prepared me to achieve the goals I have set for myself in track.
I have found an extreme passion for track and field. I am a hard worker in the classroom and on the track! I would love to run for your school if given the opportunity.
