My name is Mckayla Reyer. I am a rising senior at Riverbend High School and I have been passionate about running since elementary school. In First grade I ran my first 5k with my teacher, Mrs. Scheff. I found my niche in middle school where I had great success running the 1600m and the 2400m events. My lifelong love and dedication for distance running has led me to where I am today; a fourth-year varsity runner and an integral part of my high school's track and cross-country team. I have qualified for the VHSL Region 5D championship district and regional track and cross country meets throughout my high school running career. My ultimate goal before leaving high school is to compete with the most elite track and cross-country runners at the 2023 VA State Championships. In addition to my accomplishments as a student-athlete, I have maintained a weighted GPA of 4.4 while being an active member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Computer Science Honor Society. My goal is to find a college that challenges me academically and allows me to compete and improve in both track and cross country.
