My name is Kendall Jones, I've been playing sports my whole life, from soccer, basketball, to track and field. In middle school, sports really started to become important to me. My freshman year is where sports have had the biggest effect though lessons learned and the opportunities it has given me. One of the greatest benefits of being a member of the Bethel High School Varsity Track and Field Team is that I learned to be a leader and how to take charge of myself. Being able to compete at meets, practices, and against other athletes forms a bond like no other. No matter if its at a meet or a practice I always give 110 percent. My passion for this sport if through the roof and I believe I can go very far with it. Traveling to different meets with my teammates, working hard to get to the top, and competing are the top three things on why I love this sport.
The most valuable aspect to my participation is learning to keep a positive attitude, sacrifices, being confident, and going out of my way to help others. I'm a strong person of character, very disciplined, self motivator, and a positive influence to my teammates. I feel as it is important to spend as much time with your teammates as it is with your family.
An important dream to me would be to continue shot put and discus on a D1 or D2 scholarship at the highest level possible. I am looking to major in Computer Science or Information Technology. ( IT) Success comes from dedication, teamwork and everyone pulling their own weight when working as a team. Balancing school with sports is a skill that will help me be successful in college, in the world and beyond. Presently, I have a gpa of 3.98 attending Bethel High School.
