When it comes to my academics I've always set high expectations and goals for myself. I'm always willing to go the extra mile and work/study my hardest in order to reach these goals. Even when I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life as an adult, I knew that I wanted to be above average. Ever since I began high school I have begun to incorporate this mindset when it comes to my athletics (specifically running). I began to be as passionate about running as I was about academics. Not only do I love running in general but I love competing. I love seeing myself get stronger every week and seeing the progress in my races as my times go down. I believe the difference between me and other student athletes is that I'm passionate about school and running. When I set goals for myself I'm determined to work harder and harder to reach them and if I don't reach one or two I'm prepared to reflect and understand that I need to work harder next time. I also love being part of a team. The support and bonds you gain from a team make me want to wok 5x more and is the main reason why I run cross country along with track.
