My interest with sports started with my participation in competetive gymnastics, which lasted for about 8 years. I withdrew from the sport the beggining of freshman year in order to try new sports and activities that would challenge me and put me out of my comfort zone. I joined the track team my freshman year and discovered a sport I am passionate about. I have formed great bonds with my teammates and coaches, especially my relay team as they are extremely supportive and positive. Being a part of a team has taught me to be adaptable to change, have a positive attitude, and to trust my coaches and teammates.
Participation in sports and extracurricular activities along with taking honors and AP classes, I have been able to maintain a 3.95 GPA. All of my activities have taught me to be more organized and responsible with my work. I have become an independent person as I communicate to my teachers and coaches whenever needed. With all of this I have also developed efficient time management skills that help me balance all of my activities.
