2019 HighlightsPersonal Statement
On the first day of 6th grade, my mom told me to go to Cross Country practice. She said to give it a try and I didn’t have to go back after the first day if I didn’t like it. Now, as a Junior in high school, I still go, and my love for running has grown into a passion. Placing 6th at State this past Cross Country season was an amazing feeling, but I also really enjoyed helping my team place in the top eight. In track, I look forward to competing in Steeplechase again as well as working hard to PR in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m.
Off the course, I love to create traditions with my team such as the Midnight Mile, buying matching State pajama pants, and running Ragnars.
Along with running, I enjoy challenging myself in school by taking AP classes, participating in clubs, and being a member of the National Honors Society. I also love supporting my community by participating in PTSA meetings as the student representative.
