I have always loved being active, and had bounced around with many different sports to find what I enjoy most. I dabbled in gymnastics for 6 years, but by then was old enough to try out for my school’s tennis team. And up until 7th grade, that was my favorite sport, tennis. But once spring of 7th grade came, I could try track. And truly, I haven't found a sport I like better since that first meet I competed in!
Hurdles was something that always intrigued me, but it took a little while for me to eliminate many of the other events before building up the courage to try running the 100m hurdles. And while my first few meets weren’t exactly my greatest, I kept at it and have worked so hard over my middle school and my high school seasons to lower my times and have better technique over the hurdles to consistently PR at every meet now.
In school, I am very ambitious and enjoy a challenge. I am not one to let a B just sit there, and I will work and work and work to ensure I get the highest grade I am able to. I hope to one day become an Orthopedic Surgeon, so schooling is something that I take very seriously. I enjoy all of my classes, some of my favorite being the Sciences and Foreign Language.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, travel, and read as many books as possible. I love to play tennis at the local courts and beg my friends to run with me on the track during the off season.
Overall, I try to be a well rounded person with being a hard working student academically, committed athlete on the track, and a family centered daughter at home.
