Hello, my name is Janessa Karau. I am a Junior at Baldwin-Woodville High School in Baldwin, Wisconsin. I have participated in both track and field since I was a freshman. Recognizing the work and dedication it will take, my goal is to qualify for WIAA D2 state championships for the 100m and 200m this upcoming season. My whole career in high school sports, I have set expectations for myself and I believe I have the ability to surpass any one of those expectations because of the work ethic I attain. Along with my sports, I have expectations and goals that I work towards achieving in my academics as well. I know first and foremost I am a "Student Athlete" and I am proud to have my academics lead my athleticism. I have been viewed as a leader by both my teammates and coaches in both track and volleyball seasons of my high school career. Encouraging my teammates while also keeping them accountable are two things I bring to a team and also want to see in my future with sports. Supportive but disciplinary coaches and encouraging teammates are two aspects I would like to have alongside me during my college years. I would also like to attend a college where I can improve my athletics and academics while pursuing/achieving my goals. Thank you for looking at my profile!
