I’ve always had a passion for sports. But when I joined track, I didn’t know that I could develop anything more than just passion— it became an obsession.
Growing up, I’ve always been VERY competitive in everything I do, and sports gives me the opportunity to compete. What I’ve learned though track that I didn’t find in any other sport was that: 1) You not only compete against others, but against yourself to be better than yesterday. 2) Both victory and defeat both elevated me to work harder than I was before. 3) Track may seem individual, but I prefer to promote team goals, which builds loyalty and encourages success.
Now that I’m reaching the end of my high school career, I know that I am far from done. I intend on running track in college, and I would like to run somewhere that meets both my athletic AND academic values.
I am a versatile athlete, and my dedication is unmatched. My discipline has been the key to my success. I’ve realized giving up life’s everyday pleasures is the price I’ve been happy to pay. My passion is to be a college top athlete, and I won’t quit until I master it.
