I am just starting my career as a distance runner so right now my goals and aspirations are simply just to run in college. What sets me apart from other athletes is my passion for running. In my off season, I typically run over 1,000 miles because I know that hard work and dedication, plus some fun will make me a great athlete. I love race day. When race time comes I can barely stand still, full of excitement, ready to put my all on the track/XC course. I am also a very goal oriented person. For instance, last year I ran the 800m run for the very first time and made it my goal to break the school record, and I accomplished that as a sophomore. As a junior this year I ran XC for the first time ever and absolutely loved it, I even had the privilege of individually advancing to the Wisconsin State Meet. My hard work is starting to pay off. This year in XC as a junior, I made all conference, placed top ten at almost every meet I attended, was awarded the most valuable runner and qualified for academic all state award. This past track season I broke two school records, led the team in points, was selected team Co-MVP, and qualified for Sectionals in all three distance events.
