I started running in fourth grade when my elementary school offered a spring running program for 4th and 5th grade girls called Forever We Run. At the end of the program, we ran a 5k race. I found out that I really enjoyed running and being part of a team. I participated in cross country starting in 6th grade to present day. I participated in track starting in 7th grade to present. I work hard to keep improving for myself and for my team. I listen to advice my coaches give me and I am willing to try new things. From participating in cross country and track I learned that I am determined to achieve the goals I set for myself and that I am able to push myself to my limits during races, practices, and academically. I also learned that I will not give up and that I will do what I need to do for myself and my team to achieve our goals.
