Hi, I'm Mya and I'm a 2023 Kiel High School graduate! I'm not committed to a college track team yet so I appreciate any offers that I still receive. I'm looking for a team to dedicate myself to with a great team dynamic and coaches who will help me improve. I want to make my mark in college track. I know my 27 can come down and that's why I drove an hour one way twice a week to train specifically for sprinting this summer at Synergy Sports Performance in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Over the winter and spring of my senior year, I trained with a former UW Oshkosh sprinter at B Athletics in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
I'm a kind person, open-minded, hard-working, attentive, and very dedicated to track and my academics. I fell in love with track, especially the 200, in 6th grade. I wasn't in track from 8th to 10th grade due to online school. I'm grateful for the strong connections I made with my junior and senior year coaches and teammates. Our 4x200 relay had high hopes of getting to state but I ended up being the only sprinter on my team to go on to sectionals. Our 2023 regional gained some pretty competitive teams and the 4x200 relay teams ahead of us all were the state qualifier teams. Besides track, I've been involved with volunteering in the community and pageants. Besides focusing on studying biology or nursing in college, it would be cool to do a coaching concentration and study business as well. My goal is to have success and happiness in all areas of my life.
