I have been running track since I was in the 5th grade. I have the work ethic to train to win because I know natural talent doesn't always beat hard work. Academics are a huge part of my life and I strive to have good grades year round. I listen to my coaches and always work as hard as possible in practice. I hold three of the individual event high school records at my school (400 m dash, 200 m dash, 100 m dash). I also am a member of a record holding 4x400 team at my school. I am always trying to run a faster time each time I am on the track. Personal improvement is one of my top goals each time I step foot on the track. Win or lose its the clock I am racing, not the other athletes. Although I am ultimately racing the clock, I do strive to win at every meet I go to. I would like to be able to competitively run track in college in the 400,the 200, and possibly the 100. I also enjoy running relays, and would be interested in running on a 4x400 team.
