Hi, my name is Amy Rice. I am currently a senior at East Limestone High School in Athens, Alabama. I started playing volleyball in seventh grade and I have loved it ever since. My junior year of volleyball was very eventful and adrenaline rushing all season. Our varsity team won 1st in are area tournament, regional tournament, and state in 5A ranking. Libero is my latest position. Previously, I've played outside hitter, right side hitter, and all defense positions.
With the impact of Covid-19 , I used that opportunity to excel and better myself during the break. Although I wasn't able to be in a group setting, this taught me to push myself independently. With that being said my sophomore year consisted of taking virtual classes. These online courses have developed my sense of responsibility and self drive to complete assignments and projects in a timely fashion with little to no supervision. For my junior/senior year I am back in school maintaining good grades through all of my AP and honors classes. I am aspiring to obtain a degree in a field of engineering. While studying for my degree, it is my main objective to play volleyball at the collegiate level.
I believe in being honest and telling the truth. My upbringing has taught me to treat ALL people with dignity and respect. In my free time I have volunteered at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in the following capacities: Junior Daughters of the King, and Feeding the Homeless.
