Hello, I’m Mya Carter! Volleyball has created many opportunities for me to grow not only as an athlete, but to be a leader on and off of the court. I have been through some adversities, however, overcoming them has led me to where I am today. My dream is to compete at the collegiate level because I can continue to play the sport I love, while pursuing my career. Also, I would be creating new friendships with people who have the same passion and determination as me to reach our goals. I have always wanted to be an inspiration to younger athletes because having someone to look up to is always encouraging.
I love team bonding because spending time off of the court with each other is always enjoyable. It allows you to see a different side of people and get to know them on a different level. Even though volleyball is my main sport, I do like swimming for fun. So if you ever want to race, you’ll probably be left in my bubbles. Get it? Haha! I’m always open for new ways to better myself because there’s always room for improvement. “Everyday make progress, you have to trust the process”, is my quote that has always made me stay determined and push myself to the best of my ability.
