I love volleyball. I would like to pursue volleyball while attending a school with opportunities for me to study special education or physical therapy. I am a strong student who consistently gets good grades and thrives on challenges. I would like to play for a college or university that meets both my academic and athletic goals.
On the volleyball court, I am a team player who understands that each person on the court plays a specific role, but that playing together as a team is what makes the difference between winning and losing.
I have learned through experience that mental toughness and IQ are equally as important as the physical aspects of the game. Whenever my team is down or someone makes a mistake, I make sure to use positive words of encouragement to get through the next point. I focus on having a positive attitude and being a leader when mistakes are made on the court, whether I make the mistake or my teammate does. One of my best character traits is that after I make a mistake during a game, I immediately want the next ball to come to me to show what I can do.
I am known for my consistency of play and all around ability on the court with a good attitude. I play well under pressure with a very competitive attitude, as my parents and sister would tell you.
