I started playing volleyball in 6th grade. I instantly fell in love with the game and would love to play in college. I have played on club teams since I was 12, and have played on my school’s varsity team since I was in the 9th grade. While playing volleyball, I have grown not only as a player but also as a person. Off the court, I am very competitive with my grades. I participated on my school’s Math Team in 5th thru 7th grades, where I specialized in ciphering. In 7th grade, I took the ACT through Duke TIP, where I scored an 18 overall, with a 17 in math and 19 in science. I started high school courses in 8th grade and have maintained a 3.9+ GPA. I retook the ACT in September of 2018 and scored a 26. In addition to school and volleyball, I have been the treasurer of Student Council at my school and I served as a Teacher’s Assistant for Physical Science. For the 2016-17 school year, I received an award for having more than 100 hours of service. I love volunteering at church, where I have done so for the last 3+ years. I also enjoy helping kids learn to play volleyball, and help out at middle school volleyball practices and clinics. I love listening to country and pop music while doing my schoolwork, and I like designing websites for friends, school, and fun. For college, I am open to most options except Junior College. I would prefer a small college that offers a degree in either Biology or a Pre-Medicine program. I plan on earning a Bachelor’s degree and then continuing my education in Medical School. After Medical School, I want to be a neonatologist or a surgeon of some sort. I want to be a doctor because I love helping people and I love learning.
