Abbey Kirchner '18 Recruiting Profile

Playing volleyball at the collegiate level has been my goal since I traveled to watch my sister play in 2012.  I have been playing volleyball for 8 years.  I play year round with School, Club and Beach.  I am a 5 time captain and aspire to lead by example both on and off the court.  

I have been described by coaches as being very coachable and a great teammate who instills confidence in others on the court.  I strive to be one of the hardest working players out there.  I have been named Rookie of the Year and, most recently, received the Coaches Choice award at the 2016 Varsity Athletics Awards at Bellerose Composite High School.  

In the classroom, I study hard to maintain a 3.2 GPA and am always striving for academic excellence.  Out of the classroom and away from the court, I am an entrepreneur.  I am part owner of a swim wear boutique and as of October 2017, my sisters and I collaborated to create and launch our own brand of swim.  

I am seeking a position as a 2018 Setter.  I successfully run a 5-1 offence with experience in a 6-2.  I pride myself on being a starting setter and am looking for a team where I can push myself both on the court and in the classroom.
