When I first stepped onto the 900 square foot court, I knew I wanted to play collegiate volleyball. From a young age of 8, I have always had a strong passion for the game. I specialize as a middle blocker, but I have had many opportunities to play as an opposite, or rightside hitter. I am extremely excited to learn more about the game as well as growing as a player.
Not only is volleyball a huge part of my life, but academics as well. I strive to be the best student I can be by putting myself in advanced honors classes to push myself in the classroom. I spend most of my time off-court with family, friends and in the classroom. In the future, I would like to take part in being a medical examiner or a forensic investigator as I have always found interest in the medical field. As a student-athlete, I know that my grades are very important. I take my classes very seriously and hold myself to a high standard.
I like to say that I have a sense of leadership and will help my team in anyway possible in order to earn the next point. Along with having a strong court presence, I am a coachable athlete who is dedicated to being the best athlete that I can be. Many of my past coaches and teammates may say I have a positive attitude as I bring a lot of energy onto the court. While on the court, I have the mindset of "I am going to block this ball" or "I am going to do something great with this next set". This not only shows my determination but the fact that I am hungry for every ball or in other words, I want to be on the court to make a difference.
I am open to all options as a volleyball scholarship would mean nothing but the world to both me and my family. My ultimate dream is to play at a college that will challenge me on the court and in the classroom. I hope all my hard-work and dedication are worth it to achieve my dream of playing the sport I love while performing good deeds in the medical field.
