Lauren Sayre '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Lauren Sayre.   My High School Varsity team just named me Captain, voting with comments like "Always Positive, Puts Team First, Goes after every point, Attitude is Amazing  and Caring Leader".  This makes me so happy that they would say this.  

My club coaches like how coachable I am, and my strong work ethic.  In the last club season, I had the 2nd highest kill percentage and serve percentage.  This club season I had the highest kill percentage and remained on the court for the final 3 months playing every position.

Prior to playing volleyball, I played highly competitive club soccer for more than six years, winning 2 consecutive State Titles in my last seasons and simply fell in love with volleyball and made the switch. 

In 2019 I also started playing Beach for RPM Sand in Arizona.  I had to play up in 18's, like indoor, due to my late August birthday but I've learned so much from the D1 girls in the club.  In my first beach season, I made it to 2 Finals matches in 18's Santa Monica and Hermosa,  this past July 2019.  

I not only work hard on the court, but also in the classroom with a 4.6 GPA.  My dream is to play volleyball at the next level, and I am dedicated to making that dream a reality. 

Being selected to the best soccer and beach teams in Arizona has taught me hard work, leadership, goal setting and team work.  These are skills that I know will carry me into college and help make a program even better!
