Angel Whittle '23 Recruiting Profile

I am an adoptive child by my parents from the Philippines.  I am a very good student with a G.P.A. that is around 4.0.  I was a competitor in gymnastics for ten years, the last four years being in Hong Kong, China where I won several high awards in international competition.  During this competition I won 2 gold medals; 2 silver medals; and 2 bronze medals along with an All-Around gold medal.  When we moved back to the U.S. we settled in a small town that had no resources or programs for gymnastics, so I turned my athletic attention to volleyball where I have been thriving as the Libero on my high school team.  I am very athletic and have quick hands and feet, and I am not afraid to go over objects in my way such as the bench, the scorer's table, or the back wall of the gym for errant balls.  I have a desire to study in college to be a doctor (pediatrician) and am willing to do what it takes to accomplish this goal.  I may be small, but I have a tenacious attitude.  I don't like to lose!
