Sports have been very crucial in my life. Ever since I was young, I've had an interest in basketball. My older brother would play basketball with me until I tried out for club, I realized that I was not serious about this sport. In middle school, I decided to try out for volleyball and that's when I realized that this sport can greatly impact my life. I was very dedicated to volleyball and started playing for club teams and in my 8th grade year, we won AAU state. Volleyball has helped me learn new things like, making mistakes will later on make you better as a player, trusting others, finding my true friends, and many more.
Throughout the years, I've gained a better mentality, a higher volleyball IQ, stronger swings, and a decrease of errors. With these strengths, I was able to make Varsity both years of my High School experience so far and an amazing club team. I am very coachable and take in mind on what others tell how to get better. I aim to be a better player on and off the court and work my hardest no matter on what the score is.
I've always been very serious about volleyball and will continue to be. I've have been with my current club, Venom Volleyball Club, for 3 years now. I'm very grateful to have the opportunity to be surrounded with such amazing leaders and people that have worked with many other talented girls to become the player they are. I am beyond thankful to be on a team, Venom Black 16N, with such stunning girls that consistently work, together as a team, to put in our best performance. As a team, we have experienced many losses and wins but we have never failed to continue to push and work our hardest to put on a great effort. Although this team has tested my strengths and weaknesses, I am glad on those who taught me and respect a lot of the people along the way. I can happily say that this past 3 years with this club have been the greatest and biggest impact on my volleyball career.
I take my education very seriously. I study hard to maintain my GPA and continue to work to keep my high grades. I take all honors classes and my current unweighted GPA is 3.9. I used to be in Key Club and I've learned many significant things. I've done many volunteering for our Middle School Girls Volleyball team, High School Boys Volleyball team, and many younger Venom Volleyball teams along with my volunteering for my old and new church Luke Air Force Base Chapel and Saint Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.
I want to expand my knowledge in both volleyball and architecture. I believe that my experience in High School and club will continue to prepare for the challenges that are faced in College. I want to continue pushing myself to help improve and maintain my skills and knowledge. I am open to all options that hold both level of volleyball competition and my degree of choice. I strive to make my family and friends proud and become a role models to others.
