Hi! My name is Preslie Walker. I have been playing volleyball since I was ten years old and I have loved it ever since. I began club volleyball in 2020 at 12U and was primarily a back row player. I have since transitioned to an outside hitter playing all the way around for club and school ball. I have learned a lot about playing a team sport and how important it is to trust your teammates and to always have a positive mindset. I enjoyed playing indoor volleyball so much that I began training and competing in beach volleyball tournaments four years ago. I love that I get to build a bond with my partner as we compete in games. Between school ball, club ball, and beach, I stay busy playing volleyball all year round. I am at the gym whenever I can be working out and doing private lessons to enhance my skills. I spent this last summer working out extra to increase my vertical and my overall speed. I always push myself to be the best that I can be. I am still deciding what specific major I’d like to study, but I eventually want to work in the medical field. With all the time I put into volleyball, I still work hard in the classroom and make studying a priority to keep my 4.0 GPA. I'm so excited to see where volleyball takes me in my future!
