Lily Oaks '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’5” setter from Greenbrier, Arkansas and I will graduate in the class of 2023 from Greenbrier High School. I have a 4.0 GPA as well as being involved in many clubs, such as, Wonder Woman, Student Council, Spanish Club, and Beta Club. I have 6 years of volleyball experience. I received the privilege to start on the 9^th grade team as an 8^th grader last school season, and have been a starter every season. Every year I am team captain because of my leadership and accountability skills. I am the first to practice to set up the nets and the last to leave. I strive to grow and give my best effort every time I am on the court. Also, I strive to set the positive tone on the court as well as encouraging every teammate. I lead every morning stretch and our pregame meeting. Over my volleyball career I have made many accomplishments. For example, my team and I won our conference title this season along with runner up last season. My team and I have also won many tournaments. Being able to play beyond the high school level is a goal of mine. I have followed the game of volleyball my whole life because every weekend I would watch my older sister play. As soon as I was old enough, I completely fell in love with the game. I started taking lessons at the age of 10 and have been on the court ever since. I will work to achieve my goal of having the privilege to play volleyball at the next level.  My athletic environment also depends on the academic selection given at that school because I do plan to go into the medical field.
