I grew most my sophomore year when my team did not qualify for the provincial tournament that year. I learned how important hard work and dedication is. A few months later found myself playing in the provincial finals for our senior team and winning a silver medal. One of my biggest strengths is my compete mindset. It drives me to want to become better for myself and my team. I later went on to play for Team BC which was an amazing experience! I found myself rising to the challenge of having to compete in an older age group during the Canada Cup.
I have been very fortunate to train with Jesse Knight and Julie Young. They have led me to build my skill set on and off the court. While building my technical skill, I have learned the importance of hard work and over coming diversity. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically.
