My goal is to play, improve, and enjoy volleyball. I’ve planned to go to college/university, and prove that just because I’m shorter than most, doesn’t mean I can’t play a certain sport, or get into a post secondary volleyball team, and further.
When I started playing in 9th grade, I just thought it another sport that I have the opportunity to play, but in just 3 years I have grown to adore the sport as well as the coaches, and people surrounding it. My parents have played a massive role in my sporting career, pushing me to do any and every sport that was offered. During my time in high school so far I’ve played many sports, from ice hockey, to rugby, and each day I notice how much each sport can help you in the other.
I strongly believe I would be the best candidate for your team as I am whole heartedly committed to the sport, and improving my skills. I have been told by coaches that I can learn, and respond to feedback extremely well. I have adapted to the high stress, and emotional environment that is a finals game, as well as putting bad plays behind me with a smile!
Although I am devoted to sports, schooling hasn’t always been my top priority, thinking about what I could be doing instead of being in a maths class. This year I have been introduced to an amazing biology teacher, she has shown me that the good work you put into school can benefit you both later on, and also mentally.
Thank you for your time while reading this statement. I sincerely hope that you will consider me for your program!
