My name is Grace Pollock, and I am an Outside Hitter and DS for Rio Hondo Prep's Varsity Girls Volleyball team. I have played volleyball for 7 years, all the way from 5th to 12th grade. (I didn't play during 11th grade, however, because of COVID.) Throughout my years of playing volleyball, I have also played basketball, softball, and coached elementary girls (volleyball, basketball, softball, and soccer), making me a well-rounded athlete.
Because I have played volleyball for so long, I have been able to figure out that there are two main reasons why I love it so much - these are the two things I'm looking to find in playing college volleyball. Firstly, I love the hardworking and driven people it surrounds me with. Secondly, I love the opportunity it gives me to subvert expectations. As a 5'5" outside hitter, I know a thing or two about having little expected from me.
