Ever since I was a little girl I have always been a big dreamer of what I want to do in my life. I have only dreamt about going to college and playing sports at the collegiate level not knowing that one sport would win my heart and that sport is volleyball. My love for the game kept growing and growing everyday pushing myself to become a better player and athlete and I knew I wanted to play at the next level after high school. Whether it was a Divison 1,2, or 3 or even a Junior College didn't necessarily matter. All I knew is that I wanted to play good volleyball and have the education to go right along with it. I found an interest in majoring in Physical Therapy or in the Sports Medicine department. I have also considered majoring in business.
I believe I would be a huge asset to any team because of who I am not only as an athlete, but as a person. I'm an athlete that is very coach able, if you tell me to try something new or do something I'm on it. I am a hard worker and that shows through the three years in a row that I have received the Golden Horseshoe Award, which means I was the all-out hardest working individual and always gave my absolute best everyday on my team. My senior year I received the Lady Bronco Award, which meant I was the most inspirational and uplifting player on my team. All four years of high school I have been a Scholar Athlete. My Junior year I was chosen for All League Honorable Mention and my senior year I was chosen as 1st Team All league and All Valley. Also my senior year I was Captain of my team, where we were league co-champs. I'm a very positive, competitive, and loud player. I play not only for me, but for my teammates to reach an ultimate goal.
I am a STUDENT- ATHLETE, therefore my academics are very important and they come first. That only means that because I have to juggle my studies and a sport, I am stronger and work hard to keep my grades at the highest I could make them. In my years of high school I have had honors and AP classes I have pushed through while doing a sport and kept my grades decent.
I am a community based girl, raised in a small town with big dreams of making a difference in the world as much as possible. And this year I have the honor and opportunity to make that happen, at least in my community by having the title of Miss Teen City of Bishop 2014. This pageant wasn't a beauty pageant it was beauty on the inside. Now I have an amazing opportunity to make a difference in our youths lives.
