Hello, my name is Izzy Burger and I'm a sophomore at Sacramento Adventist Academy. I have been playing volleyball since the fourth grade and it has become so much more than just a sport to me. The team aspect of the game is really important to me. This year I was the captain on my club team and during the season I learned how to help lead my team mentally and physically towards success. Although in my future goals I envision volleyball, I also picture scrubs and surgery. My main college goals besides volleyball are to major in biology and go to medical school to become a surgeon specializing in trauma. Being a doctor and playing volleyball correlate in that both need teamwork. I think what sets me apart from other volleyball players is that no matter the skill level of my team or the team I'm playing is my mindset is that I'm bumping, setting, and spiking at the Olympic games. I believe that no matter what court, what team, or what coach if I'm doing my best and giving it my all, that's what matters. Live Love Volley!
