Taylor Ojeda '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Taylor Ojeda. I am from Southern California and I love to play volleyball! I have been playing club for four years. This year I made the Level 1 -16U, Under Armour Team, at Forza1 North, in Southern California. My team just qualified for the Premier Volleyball League (top 36 teams in Southern California). We are currently ranked #13 in the PVL.  Last year I was fortunate to have played on a great team as well. I was the starting libero on the Level 1 - 15U National Team at Ignite Volleyball Club in Chino California. Ignite placed in the top 20 in all of California in 15U.  We also came in second in the Red Rock Rave in Las Vegas for the girls 15U division. I was the starting Libero. One of my goals for the future is to play college volleyball. I know that I can get there with hard work and determination.  I work extremely hard on and off the court with my team and personally, I'm always trying to improve. I am very athletic. I played outside hitter during my freshman year of high school (even though I am about 5'3), but my natural position is libero/DS. 

In school, I always try my best and study hard for tests and exams. I challenge myself by taking AP and Honors courses. I normally do very well academically. I'm very outgoing and social. I can connect socially with new people very easily and adapt to wherever I am.  I have good leadership skills and I am always willing to help others. I stay active in my church and I am happy to give some of my time to help those in need. I love to be part of a team and I always give 100% on the court. I am very active and I love to try new things like surfing, hiking, and anything outdoors. I also enjoy playing beach volleyball and have done very well in the tournaments I have competed in. I can hardly wait to go to college and play at the college level. I look forward to the challenge!
