Hi, I'm Marta, I just turned 16 and am a junior in high school looking for a college where I can be academically challenged and play competitive volleyball. I'm very interested in playing college volleyball because I have a passion for the sport that started in middle school and I want to keep improving my overall level of play. I started playing club ball at a 13-4 level and steadily worked myself up to 16-1 and would like to keep improving my level of play for as long as possible.
I am looking for a college where I can pursue a science major, for example bio-chemistry.
I have experience balancing varsity and club ball while attending a very rigorous high school, with multiple honors and AP classes and still keeping my grades up. I love to play volleyball, and I always look forward to playing more, especially pulling together as a team- be it in tournaments or practices. It makes me happy to be able to completely and wholly dedicate myself to something, and lay it all out on the court.
I took the SAT once and scored a 1460, but I have been studying so that when testing reopens in the fall I can bring my score up.
