Katelynn Shipley '23 Recruiting Profile

    Some of my collegiate goals are to make a be a part of a college volleyball team, while also attending a good academic college in order to pursue career as a pediatrician. I would be a good candidate for your team because I am willing to put in 110% effort every time I step onto a court. I also love to have a positive attitude all of the time and lift my teammates up while playing. I also am good at being a role model or leader on the court and I am not afraid to step in and help whenever needed.  I also always love a good challenge, and to be pushed to be the best that I can possibly be. Finally I pick up on criticism quite fast and will always work hard to continue to get better at anything I do. What sets me apart from other recruits is what my coaches have always called my "grit" I am always hustling for the ball, weather its a blown dig for a save or to cover my hitter across the court. When I am playing I am at level 100 even when I'm on the bench cheering for my team . I work extremely hard at being a good volleyball player. I keep up with my academics in maintaining good grades and understanding of classes and I never settle for average and I always push myself to exceed expectations of others and truly strive to always do better and keep growing.
