Hello, my name is Elizabeth Destiny Perez, I am currently Going to Duarte High School in California. Ever since my freshman year, I started to play volleyball. But my passion started ever since the being of my elementary years. I was a very outgoing girl who was very athletic people would say. I wouldn't just play volleyball but I would play multiple sports. I would love to play volleyball basketball soccer but I even got into softball. I loved to play all the sports because when I played it was an escape from all the problems going on around me. But as I continued to grow up and I got to my middle school years, I realized that the games of each sport have gotten more competitive. It wasn't just where I was put on a team and play for fun, but where I had to try out. I can say back then I didn't really have a lot of confidence because I was never put in a situation like this. Where I had to fight for my spot. As I continued and went on to high school I realized it got real from there. But to the point where I had to choose one sport to focus on. That one sport I wanted to go far in and focus on and focus on getting better. BY fixing the littlest details. For me, it was hard because I liked all the sports I played till I had to choose and make a big decision in my life where I did choose that one sport. I realized that this sport was my passion but it was different from everything else. It was different from all the other sports I did. I realized that volleyball was different I didn't just like to play the sport I loved to play the sport. With volleyball, I don't get to worry about anything going on around me. I loved the way it makes me feel. The ups and downs a game can have as well as the anxiety it can give you as you playing. I remember the first time I played in a club and we went far until we came short and took second. That first time I cried because we lost I realized that. That love for the game that I have is not going away. Because I am willing to push and willing to give it my all. I am willing to push and willing to give everything I got.
