I aspire to play at a competitive collegiate level because I have always had an immense passion for volleyball. I would love to play at a high level where I can balance my academics and athletics while achieving my goal of a bachelor's degree that will enable me to pursue my passion and have a successful career.
I believe I am a desirable candidate for any college team because I have consistently played at a highly competitive level in Southern California and my academic achievements will ensure success in the classroom. During the past three years I have played for Coast Volleyball Club earning a spot on top elite teams each year. As a sophomore (age 15, 2015-2016) I played on Coast’s Elite 18-2 team. I played all 6 rotations and have had the experience to play with and against girls who were soon going to college to play at the next level. With these teams I have experienced the USA Volleyball GJNC each year, which has given me the opportunity to compete at a very intense level and experience unique situations.
Academics have always been a priority; throughout my years at Valhalla High School I have achieved an accumulative 3.93 GPA with 4 out of the 7 semesters being 4.0’s. As a sophomore, I completed the year with straight A's while being very involved with my school’s student government as a member of our ASB. This has enriched my high school experience by having the opportunity to interact with students, staff and our community. It has strengthened my leadership, organizational and communication skills while providing the necessary balance I seek.
My high school volleyball experience is different than most because I not only made the varsity team each year, I was a starter for each of those years. In my sophomore year I am most proud of the fact that I started each match and by the end of the season I played the most sets of all my teammates. My stats also show that I was one of the top three players for serving, defense, and attacking. Our high school team won the league title and continued on to the CIF San Diego Section Finals. I was awarded with Honorable Mention within our league and Honorable Mention in the overall conference.
Along with volleyball, I competed on our varsity track team my freshmen year, finishing as our #1 discus thrower. In the spring season of my sophomore year I played for our beach volleyball team and we won the league title.
Overall, I would make a great candidate for a high level, competitive collegiate team because I have exemplary academics, have consistently played at a high level in high school and club volleyball, and have a one of a kind personality.
