Hello, I'm Koral Newman, a high school student at Edison High School in Huntington Beach. I'm in 10th grade this year. I am a 5ft 10in opposite and I am playing club this season on the 16 Adidas team at Club H. I love volleyball and it is by far my favorite thing to do. I have been playing competitively for the past 4 years now and non competitively for the past 7 years.
Not only do I play volleyball, but I also do very well in school. Right now I am a straight A student and I intend to keep it that way. I also have other hobbies such as reading, camping, and scuba diving. I also have good time management because I have to be able to plan my days out since I have school, volleyball, homework, and friends that I need to spend time with.
Some of my best qualities is that I am nice, hardworking, and good with team work. At Edison I am in CIBACS(Center for international business and communication Studies). This program allows me to learn about running my own business and how the business world works. In CIBACS I have to work with other people a lot. In my freshman year I had to work in a group of four to move Boardwalk Burgers to Taiwan and this year my group is developing a new product for SKB cases. This takes a lot of team work to complete these tasks successfully.
I hope to get into a good school in the future and to have fun and play volleyball at a competitive college level! I would like to major in business because CIBACS has really encouraged me to pursue business in the real world. I love volleyball and I would love to play in college!
